Memos Reveal Blairs Bush Love
Documents and memos obtained under the Freedom of Information act have revealed Tony Blairs romantic fascination with George Bush.
The request, made by prominent freedom of information campaigner Paul Hope, unearthed some shocking gems from Blairs internal correspondance at Number 11 Downing Street, and shows that many in the respective governments were aware of the blossoming romance.
“He’s so dreamy” said Tony in a note to an unidentified aide, “200lbs of prime USA beef, I really hope he’ll let me investigate his WMD one day”.
On the eve of the meeting at Bushes Texas ranch, where it’s believed Blair took the decision to commit England to an invasion of Iraq, he wrote “Georgy put his hand on my shoulder and it was electric, I went weak the knees….Oh how I love him, together we’ll make Iraq into our lovenest of democracy!”
Perhaps Blairs lowest moment came when he was ousted as prime minister, when he wrote in his official diary, “Will he still love me when I’m just plain Tony?”
About other world leaders he was less flattering or fauning. Barack Obama is described as an “Awful man, I could never love him, my buttocks clench at the mere thought”. And Nicolas Sarkozy gets even worse treatment with a scathing “He’s all rubbery and ears, like a Vulcan pensioner, even Gordon would think twice before doing him”
