Former MPAA Boss Glickman Owns Rlslog
Prominent anti-piracy activist and former MPAA boss Dan Glickman has been revealed today as the owner of phenomenally successful peer to peer info site Releaselog. A hacker calling himself only “RlsThatBitch” hacked the sites records, and domain registration details, revealing the truth.
Rlslog, considered by many in the anti piracy campaign as a hub of illegal activity, and victim of several attempts to drive it out business, provides information on newly pirated releases, and includes links to other sites where people can download them. Critics say that it’s sole purpose is to encourage piracy, and that it’s owner makes vast profits from advertising sold on site.
Just how the anti piracy brigades campaign will proceed now that one of their own has been revealed to be the brains behind rlslog remains to be seen. Could we see an uneasy truce between the pirates and the industry? Maybe Dan will find himself with less cocktail party invites, and quite possibly his former pals at the Hollywood Studios will take a shit on his doorstep.
Mr Glickman remained defiant when our reporter confronted him for a statement. “Fuck off” he yelled, and began throwing what appeared to be dvds in our direction. “Fuckin’ shitty silvers, cunts, shit cams of shit films, there’s no respect any more” he screamed.
Subsequently a lawyer claiming to represent Mr Glickman contacted us with a prepared statement claiming that his client was the victim of an elaborate conspiracy, and that photographs of vans leaving his home laden with dvds, hard drives, and pc equipment, were nothing more than the result of spring cleaning.
